Privacy policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026

This policy explains which personal data we process when you use the Stock Sim app and this website, why and how we use it, and your rights under the GDPR and Turkey’s KVKK (Law No. 6698).

1. Data controller

The app is developed and operated by Mustafa Berkay Arslan, who is the data controller. For any privacy question, write to support@stockmarketsimulator.app.

2. Data we collect

Account data: email address, sign-in method (Apple, Google or email) and, if you provide them, first name, last name, phone number and date of birth. When you start as a guest, only an anonymous account ID is created.

App data: nickname and avatar, virtual balance, positions and order history, watchlist, price alerts, lesson progress and streak, notification preferences, leaderboard results and daily usage counters (e.g. AI analysis allowance).

Device data: your device’s push notification token, so we can send notifications.

Subscription data: the status of your Pro subscription and its trial and renewal dates. Payments are processed by Apple; we have no access to your card details.

We do not collect data for advertising or tracking, and we do not sell your data.

3. How we use data

To create your account and sign you in, run your virtual trades and portfolio, store your progress in lessons and tasks, compute the leaderboard and send notifications.

To verify your Pro subscription and apply feature limits.

To keep the app secure and prevent abuse. Our legal bases are performance of a contract, legitimate interests and, where required, your consent.

4. Third-party services

Supabase (authentication and database), Render (server hosting, Germany), Apple and Google (sign-in), the Apple App Store and RevenueCat (subscription purchase and verification), Expo (push notification delivery), Cloudflare (website and email routing).

No personal data is shared with Alpaca (market data) or Google Gemini (AI analysis); only ticker symbols and market data are sent to them.

Some of these services may process data outside your country. Such transfers happen only as needed to provide the service and under the providers’ data protection commitments.

5. Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your account and app data are permanently deleted. Subscription records may be kept by Apple and RevenueCat under their own policies.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to its processing and request a copy. You can delete your account yourself in the app via Profile → Delete account.

For any other request, write to support@stockmarketsimulator.app; we reply within 30 days.

7. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

8. Changes

When we update this policy we change the date on this page, and we announce significant changes in the app.
